Description

What does life really look like after students leave the JAG classroom? In this dynamic, joint workshop led by JAG Specialists and JAG Alumni, participants will explore the transition from student to graduate through the authentic voices and lived experiences of alumni. Through student testimonials, real-life case studies, and interactive discussions, attendees will step into the alumni perspective and examine the academic, personal, and environmental challenges many JAG students face both before and after graduation.
Participants will analyze pivotal moments where alumni support, mentorship, and networking can make the difference between struggling and thriving in college, the workforce, or life. The workshop will also highlight how Specialists can leverage the JAG follow-up phase to maintain meaningful connections, provide continued guidance, and build a strong alumni network that supports graduates beyond their first year after high school. Educators will leave with practical strategies to strengthen follow-up engagement and promote long-term student success.
