Description

Move beyond the traditional "snack shop" and transform your classroom into a creative production hub. The JAG Store Incubator is a student-led model that shifts the focus from simple retail to brand development and creative entrepreneurship. This session breaks down a scalable three-phase approach: starting with the low-overhead "Love Notes" pilot, moving into custom-designed apparel (sublimation and heat-press), and expanding into seasonal products like Teacher Appreciation totes.

Learn how to implement a "Choice-Based" staffing model where students select roles—from design to production—based on their personal strengths. We will discuss how to set "Positive and Uplifting" design parameters that allow for maximum student agency while meeting JAG branding standards. Participants will leave with a roadmap to transition from classroom theory to a self-sustaining commerce model that masters core JAG competencies through hands-on production.

Participants will explore the "Store Lifecycle"—from initial business planning and securing school buy-in to daily operations and profit reinvestment. We will dive into how the store environment naturally reinforces JAG National competencies, specifically in Career Development and Life Survival skills. Attendees will not just listen; they will engage in a "Store Startup Simulation," leaving the session with a digital toolkit including inventory templates, sample job descriptions for student managers, and a 30-60-90 day launch plan.
