This interactive workshop demonstrates how short, structured video projects can help youth
practice and refine how they present themselves to employers, postsecondary institutions, and
other professional audiences. Led by an experienced videographer who works closely with
youth culture, media, and storytelling, the session blends technical skill-building with confidence,
authenticity, and professionalism.
Participants will learn how video can be used to reinforce existing certifications, employability
competencies, and project-based learning already embedded in JAG programming. Using
accessible tools youth already have, attendees will explore how guided video practice helps
students articulate skills, reflect on learning, prepare for interviews, and communicate career
goals clearly—both on camera and in live professional settings.
