In an economy shaped by automation, AI, and shifting skill demands, students need more than career exposure, they need a structured planning system that adapts with them. This workshop centers on Kuder’s career-centric pathway planning framework: Discover, Explore, Plan, and Prepare, as a future-proof strategy for delivering sustainable college and career readiness outcomes.
Participants will examine how the framework creates an actionable progression from self-discovery and interest alignment to credential attainment, work-based learning, and postsecondary transition. The session will demonstrate how integrating real-time labor market insights and AI-informed skill alignment strengthens Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and ensures students are building durable, transferable competencies.
Attendees will leave with a clear implementation model, an evaluation of current programs, and a checklist that operationalizes the framework within JAG programs to support long-term student success.
